Meet Nurse Casey

Casey Hughes- Licensed RN, Certified Palliative/Hospice Nurse

Casey Hughes knows first-hand what it’s like to assist a close family member through the final stages of life. She launched Nurse Casey’s Blessings, LLC to help patients and families with chronic disease management, in-home health,  palliative, and hospice care. With more than 25 years of medical experience, Casey is a certified palliative and hospice care nurse, also specializing in critical, emergency, and post-anesthesia care.

Casey thrives on caring for her patients and their families and serving as their biggest advocate. She helps them navigate their illnesses, provides education about medical options, and works with her team to provide the best nursing care possible.

A President’s List graduate of Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona, Casey is known for going the extra mile to provide her patients with the best. She created a hospital-wide bereavement program for the intensive care unit at Flagstaff Medical Center and an in-home care package for patients in the last stages of life living in rural areas without a nearby hospice.

With her passion for serving others, it’s no surprise Casey has been honored three times with the Flagstaff Medical Center’s Nurse of the Year award, nominated as a March of Dimes Nurse of the Year, and received the Leadership in Nursing award from Yavapai College. In between taking amazing care of her patients, Casey volunteers actively at Camp Soaring Eagle, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, and as an Angel Flight Mission Assistant, providing flight transportation for ill patients. Casey truly makes a difference in the lives of the patients and families she serves and would love to chat about how she may assist you.
